A lot of cities have already started banning single use plastic straws, and for good reason. Other cities are discouraging their use by withholding them unless a customer asks for them, or even charging extra for thicker, reusable straw, but that’s just the first step to banning them because people end up throwing those thicker straws away.
In New York City, chain restaurants have switched to paper straws, but for me, these Titanium straws are a much better option, so I keep a set of them in my glove compartment for drinks on the road. Titanium is one of the best materials for food and drinks because it’s lightweight, super strong, doesn’t rust or corrode, and unlike a paper straw can even be used to sip hot beverages without breaking down.
These straws are perfect for camping too, because campers tend to be more environmentally conscious.
